If the bride wears white and the groom wears black, why are we shooting in color? Is it for the flowers? The wallpaper? The food on the plates? Maybe.

Color demands our attention and it would be nice if we could control exactly where we want it to appear in the picture. A burst of red in the bouquet is lovely but not on the jogger who just ran into the background of your bridal portrait on the waterfront.

I am passionate about color photography and making pictures where color really matters. Perfect color and perfect light is not a constant the day of the wedding but interesting color combinations and spectacular lighting do occur sporadically -and definitely during inclement weather. When that perfect moment of light and color does happen, it is always a gift wanting to be appreciated.
